Registrations continue for the “English Program”, which was first opened at Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, and then Near East Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School, where the Cambridge International Program and the British education curriculum are implemented.

The “English Programme”, in which the Cambridge International Program and the British education curriculum are implemented, is implemented by the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, Near East Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School. In addition to foreign students living on the island, registrations continue for Turkish parents who want their children to grow up with the British education curriculum.

With the implementation of the “English Program” in Nicosia and Kyrenia Campuses after Yeniboğaziçi Campus, Near East Colleges started to offer education opportunities to primary school students between the ages of 3 and 10 in all of its schools, with the GCSE and A-Level curriculum offered to its students at secondary and high school levels. Thus, students who will choose the GCSE and A-Level curriculum in their college education will be able to start the program ready.

An international model of education in an international environment!
The “English Program” implemented at Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, Near East Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School will bring the British education curriculum to Northern Cyprus with the Cambridge International Program. The “English Program”, which was launched to meet the demands of the international curriculum of the increasing number of students who speak foreign languages in the TRNC and Turkish students who desire to be proficient in English, will enable children to start at a young age to adapt to the college system much more easily in their education life after primary school.

Within the scope of the “English Program” to be applied to children between the ages of 3 and 10, other than Turkish and French, all courses such as English, mathematics, computers, science, art and design, technology and design, geography, history, music, physical education, moral education will be in English.


Ertan Aligüllü: “Our registration for the “English Program” offered at Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, Near East Primary School, and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School will continue until the first weeks of September.”
Emphasizing that the population coming from abroad and preferring the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to live is increasing day by day, Near East Primary Education Director Ertan Aligüllü said, “We take into account the increasing number of students who speak foreign languages and the demands of our Turkish parents who want their children to grow up with international education models with a good command of English. We decided to implement the English Program that we started at the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School two years ago at our Nicosia and Kyrenia campuses as well.”

Stating that they offer the English Program as an alternative to the education curriculum they currently use, Aligüllü said, “Our educational activities will continue at high standards in both of our programs.” Ertan Aligüllü, who also stated that there is a high demand for the English Programme, said, “Registrations for the English Program offered at Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, Near East Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School will continue until the first weeks of September.”


Deniz Özkan: “We aim to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable our students to achieve the best GCSE and A Level results in their academic journey that starts at a young age.”
Near East Primary School Deputy Director of English Program Deniz Özkan reminded that the English Program, in which they applied the national curriculum used in Britain, has been continuing at the Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School for two years and said, “With the English Program that we put into practice at our Nicosia and Kyrenia campuses, our students will be the most successful in their academic journey that starts at an early age. We aim to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve good GCSE and A Level results.”

Stating that they implemented the curriculum designed by Cambridge in the English Program, Özkan said, “With the English Program, we will graduate our students as native speakers of English, with high self-confidence, at peace with themselves, inquiring, able to establish cause-effect relationships, and with high awareness.”
